Because it’s been a long time since I last posted a dead sketch, here’s a thing from last night’s piece - although it can’t really be called a sketch at this stage, more like a failed coloring experiment. When I start coloring I tend to go bold with my color choices, but I’m never satisfied with the direction and always end up starting over with a less daring palette.
It occurred to me long after finishing the picture that I did not check once to make sure his number is actually 6. That could have been disastrous.

There are a lot of people who forget about Ennoshita and I just can’t allow that okay, consider me the first and only member of the Ennoshita Chikara Awareness Committee.
Transparent because backgrounds are tough.

I’ve realized a very compelling reason for why Hinata shouldn’t be shipped with anyone.

Because he’s really intent about being an ace.

but watching it again, I realised that while the text (Suga’s thoughts) say 勝てよ, what Suga actually says out loud is 勝つそ

So I don’t really know enough Japanese to actually understand what this means?

Is the difference something like ‘Let’s win this’ vs ‘It’s our win’ or more of an issue of inclusion? Like, when Suga says 勝つそ (instead of 勝てよ which is directed more to Kageyama-tachi) he’s including himself as a part of Karasuno? Help? orz

I don’t know a lick of Japanese so this is mostly just speculation: Google is sayin the written words just mean “win” whereas what Suga says is “it’s win” and while the second one especially makes little sense, going off of the subtitles (“let’s win”) and drawing from your theory I’m thinking it’s probably like, what he was about to say carried the connotation of “(you) go out there and win” whereas what he actually said was closer to the subs’ “let’s win (together).” So if I had to guess, I’d say you’re right, it’s most likely an inclusion thing - Suga remembering his own words to Kageyama earlier and understanding that a victory won by the ones standing on the court is a victory for the entire team, himself included.
